Job Overview :
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a qualified Family Practice Physician to provide evidence-based adult primary healthcare at the 88th Medical Group, Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio. The physician will provide the full range of services authorized by MTF clinical privileges while supporting patient outcomes, community wellness, and military medical readiness.
Key Duties:
- Examine, diagnose, and treat adult patients with routine, acute, and chronic conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment and disease-management plans.
- Manage an assigned panel of at least 1,000 adult beneficiaries.
- Provide preventive care, annual physicals, health counseling, and patient education.
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing.
- Prescribe medications and other courses of treatment within granted privileges.
- Initiate specialty consultations and referrals when clinically indicated.
- Provide clinical direction, supervision, education, and instruction to other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in staff education and in-service training while following Government and professional clinical standards.
Qualifications
Degree/Education: M.D. or D.O. from an appropriately approved/accredited medical school. Foreign medical graduates must provide appropriate ECFMG certification. Education equivalency substitutions are not permitted.
Board Certification: Must be board certified in the appropriate specialty by an ABMS- or AOA-recognized board and maintain active board certification throughout employment.
Licensure: Current, full, and unrestricted physician license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia.
Certification: Must meet the BLS requirement and applicable certification requirements.
DEA/NPI: DEA registration number required and a 10-digit NPI is required.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 0730–1630, including a 1-hour lunch. No on-call requirement. The position is authorized up to 260 overage hours per year when services beyond regularly scheduled duty hours are required. Federal holidays are non-duty days.
Work Environment:
This position works in the Family Health Clinic at the 88th Medical Group, providing outpatient adult primary care in a military healthcare environment. The physician works with other healthcare professionals to manage preventive, acute, and chronic healthcare needs.
Health & Other Requirements:
Must meet occupational health, physical examination, immunization/vaccination, and TB screening requirements. Must complete required DHA/MTF training, credentialing and privileging and meet applicable security/background investigation and CAC requirements.
Compensation: $120.00 - $140.00 per hour
