Job Overview:
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) to support OB/GYN outpatient care at NMCP. RNs will assist with scheduled visits, procedures, and follow-ups involving prenatal care, family planning, contraception, and gynecological health. The RN plays a key role in patient flow, education, and communication between the physician and patient, supporting high-quality care in a structured clinic environment.
General Duties:
- Deliver nursing services as authorized by clinical privileges and state scope of practice
- Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and healthcare staff
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, infection control, and safety procedures
- Support clinical tasks and staff training where needed
Specific Duties:
- Conduct initial assessments, obtain vitals, and document patient history
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures (e.g., pap smears, biopsies)
- Provide prenatal and gynecological education to patients
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed
- Collect lab samples and ensure proper documentation
- Follow up on test results and communicate care plans
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and support continuity of care
- Provide patient counseling and education on contraception, prenatal care, or recovery
- Float to other OB/GYN clinics when necessary
Qualifications:
Degree:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Education:
- Graduate from an institution accredited by NLNAC or CCNE
Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Women’s Health or OB/GYN-related certifications – Preferred
Experience:
- At least one year of recent RN experience in OB/GYN outpatient, prenatal, or gynecological care settings
Licensure:
- Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in women’s health and OB/GYN outpatient nursing procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
- Comfortable with sensitive patient topics and discussions
- Strong EHR documentation skills (e.g., MHS Genesis)
- Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 0700–1800 (7 AM to 6 PM)
- Coverage of up to 120 hours per week across RN team
- No weekends or holidays required
Work Environment:
- Clinic setting in OB/GYN outpatient department at NMCP
- Focused on scheduled visits and procedures
- May require float coverage within OB/GYN outpatient departments
Immunization Requirement:
- Must be vaccinated for MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, Influenza
- TB screening required
- NAVMED 6260/91 or DHA equivalent form must be completed
Security Requirement:
- Background investigation and credentialing required
- Onboarding process may take up to 90 days
