Job Overview:
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a qualified Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient care to active-duty service members, their families, and other eligible patients at the 56th Medical Group, Luke AFB. The physician will work in a clinical setting managing a wide range of health conditions, from preventive care and chronic disease management to minor injuries and illnesses. This is a Type I Personal Services position, meaning the physician will work closely under government supervision and follow protocols similar to military or federal employees.
General Duties:
- Clinical Privileges: Provide services in accordance with privileges granted by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Contractual Obligations: Perform tasks as outlined in the PWS and Task Order.
Specific Duties:
- Perform complete history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses for patients of all ages.
- Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies.
- Provide health counseling and preventive services, including annual physical exams.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Participate in medical staff meetings and training.
- Maintain complete and timely electronic medical records.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
- Education: Graduated from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school; foreign graduates must have ECFMG certification.
- Residency: Completed accredited Family Medicine residency (ACGME).
- Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.
- Experience: Must meet MTF credentialing standards and demonstrate ongoing clinical competency.
- Licensure: Must hold an active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory.
- DEA Registration: Required.
- NPI: Must hold an active National Provider Identifier.

- Ability to function independently and within a team.

Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM
- No weekend, on-call, or holiday work required
- Up to 20 overage hours/year may be permitted with approval
Work Environment:
- Ambulatory/outpatient clinic within a military treatment facility
- Day-to-day supervision by government personnel
- Collaborative, team-based care setting
Immunization Requirement:
- Must comply with DHA and MTF vaccination requirements, including influenza vaccine unless waived
Security Requirement:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and pass background checks
- DEA registration and credentialing package submission required
Compensation: $135.00 - $149.00 per hour
