Job Overview:
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to support the Flight Medicine Clinic at Luke Air Force Base. The role is essential to the healthcare of pilots, aircrew, and associated flight personnel, helping assess, diagnose, treat, and maintain readiness for duty. As part of the U.S. Air Force medical team, you will provide comprehensive care within a structured military clinic while collaborating with medical officers, support staff, and other healthcare providers.
General Duties:
- Work within clinical privileges granted by the MTF.
- Comply with all policies outlined in the Task Order and DHA instructions.
- Participate in team-based healthcare delivery to ensure mission readiness of personnel.
Specific Duties:
- Conduct medical evaluations and exams for aircrew and special-duty personnel.
- Assess fitness for flying duties and support preventive health measures.
- Diagnose and manage minor trauma, acute and chronic illnesses per clinical protocols.
- Provide immunizations and occupational health guidance.
- Collaborate with flight surgeons and other clinical staff.
- Document patient encounters in the electronic health record.
- Support health promotion and patient education regarding performance, nutrition, and stress management.
- Attend briefings, in-service training, and contribute to quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- Education: Graduate from a nationally accredited nurse practitioner program (ACEN or CCNE).
- Certification: Certified by the ANCC, AANP, or recognized national nursing board.
- Experience: Minimum 24 months of clinical experience in the past 36 months.
- Licensure: Must hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license.
- Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required.
- Credentialing: Credentialing package submission is mandatory within 15 days before placement.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to assess and manage conditions related to flight fitness and aviation health.
- Familiarity with occupational or military health protocols.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Experience in documentation and use of electronic medical records (EMR).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No weekend, on-call, or holiday work required
Work Environment:
- Clinic setting within the Flight Medicine Department at a military base
- High operational readiness tempo
- Direct supervision by Air Force medical leadership
Immunization Requirement:
- Must meet immunization and health requirements including flu vaccination (unless exempt)
Security Requirement:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and pass background and credentialing requirements
- Must obtain and provide a National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Compensation: $62.00 - $69.00 per hour
