Job Overview:
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking skilled Family Health Clinic Registered Nurses to provide outpatient care services at the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center. FHC RNs work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care for a diverse patient population in a primary care setting. The RN will assess patients, manage chronic health issues, administer medications and vaccines, and support physicians in routine and preventive care delivery.
General Duties:
- Deliver care within granted clinical privileges.
- Perform duties in accordance with DHA policies and TO requirements.
Specific Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments, vitals, and screenings for routine and follow-up visits.
- Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on chronic diseases, medications, and health promotion.
- Assist with procedures and exams; perform EKGs and wound care as needed.
- Maintain clinical documentation, patient records, and encounter summaries.
- Collaborate with physicians and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Ensure timely follow-up on labs, imaging, and specialty referrals.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Education: Graduate of a program accredited by NLNAC or CCNE.
Certification:
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA or Red Cross).

Experience:
Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in outpatient, family practice, or internal medicine. -
Licensure:
Must hold an active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong assessment and patient education skills.
- Proficiency in administering medications and immunizations.
- Knowledge of chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, etc.).
- Comfortable using electronic health records and clinical workflows.
- Excellent communication and patient service skills.

Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 0600–1800 (based on clinic/patient needs)
- No nights, weekends, or holidays
- Overage Hours: Start with 25 hrs/year, max of 60 hrs/year
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to assist patients, stand/walk during clinic hours, and use standard medical tools
Immunization Requirement:
- Current vaccinations, physical exam, and TB screening required before starting
Security Requirement:
- Must pass background checks and receive base access approval
Compensation: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
