Job Overview:
AIMS Locum Tenens is hiring a skilled Cardiopulmonary Clinic Registered Nurse to support outpatient cardiac and pulmonary care at the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center. The RN will coordinate care for patients undergoing cardiac stress testing, EKGs, and other heart and lung evaluations, while assisting physicians and ensuring patient readiness and safety. This role is pivotal in managing chronic cardiovascular conditions in a clinic setting and promoting optimal patient outcomes.
General Duties:
- Practice within the clinical privileges granted by the MTF Director.
- Carry out all duties according to the contract scope and military standards.
Specific Duties:
- Perform and assist with cardiac stress tests, Holter monitor setups, and EKGs.
- Educate patients about testing procedures, medications, and health maintenance.
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses during cardiac assessments.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and clinic team for treatment plans and follow-ups.
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with Air Force policies.
- Provide post-procedure care and discharge instructions.
- Maintain readiness of clinical equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Education: Graduate from an NLNAC or CCNE-accredited institution.
Certification:
- BLS and ACLS required (AHA or Red Cross).
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of total RN experience.
- At least 1 year of cardiology or telemetry experience (inpatient or outpatient).
- Prefer candidates with outpatient or specialty clinic experience.
Licensure:
- Must hold a current, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of cardiac and pulmonary conditions and treatments.
- Skilled in performing and interpreting EKGs and stress test procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for educating and coordinating with patients.
- Detail-oriented in documentation and patient monitoring.
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and scheduling systems.

Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, between 0700–1700
- Flexible schedule (4 x 10-hour or 5 x 8-hour shifts)
- No nights, weekends, or holidays
- No on-call or overage hours required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods and assist with patient testing and mobility when needed.
Immunization Requirement:
- TB screening, physical exam, and immunizations required prior to start
Security Requirement:
Must pass background check and receive base clearance for access
Compensation: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour
