Job Overview:
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to deliver full-spectrum anesthesia care at the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center (MOMMC). The CRNA will independently manage anesthesia for various procedures, including general, regional, obstetric, and monitored anesthesia care. Responsibilities include pre-op evaluations, anesthetic planning and administration, intraoperative monitoring, and post-op recovery. The CRNA will collaborate closely with surgical and nursing teams and support training and compliance efforts within the department.
General Duties:
- Provide services within the scope of clinical privileges granted by MOMMC.
- Fulfill all tasks in accordance with the basic contract and specific Task Order PWS.
Specific Duties:
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, obtain informed consent, and order necessary pre-op labs or diagnostics.
- Independently develop and implement an anesthesia care plan tailored to each patient.
- Administer and manage all types of anesthesia (general, regional, neuraxial, monitored sedation).
- Monitor patient’s vital functions during procedures and respond to any changes.
- Manage emergence and recovery from anesthesia, including pain and complication control.
- Document all aspects of anesthesia care in patient records, including medications, vitals, and recovery assessments.
- Participate in team meetings, clinical orientation, and training.
- Maintain patient privacy and professional appearance per Air Force standards.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Master’s or Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia.
- Education: Graduate from a COA-accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
Certification:
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATLS (must be from AHA or Red Cross; no online-only courses accepted).
Experience:
- At least 2 years of recent active practice (within the last 6 months) as a CRNA including general and obstetric (neuraxial) cases.
Licensure:
- Current, full, unrestricted RN and CRNA licenses in any U.S. jurisdiction.
Board Certification:
- CRNA certification by AANA or NBCRNA.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in managing complex anesthesia independently.
- Skilled in adult, pediatric, geriatric, and obstetric anesthesia.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergencies and adjust care plans as needed.
- Effective communicator and collaborator with multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented in clinical documentation and compliance.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Shifts: 0630–1500, 0630–1700, or 0630–1900
- No on-call required
- Up to 150 overage hours/year (rotating with other staff)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of standing/walking for long hours, assisting in patient transfers, and managing physically demanding tasks.
Immunization Requirement:
- TB Screening (2-step PPD), physical exam, and standard vaccinations required.
Security Requirement:
- Must comply with all base security clearances and background checks.
Compensation: $90.00 - $100.00 per hour
